We have moved to Epsom
A rather stressful week followed my viva with us having to cope with the complex web of solicitors, relocation agents and Southwark "slow slow slow" council. We eventually exchanged contracts and just over a week a go on the 10th March we completed and moved in.
And so far it has not been disappointing at all, in fact it has been great. It seems very large at the moment but I am sure we will fill it with junk over time. We have still quite a lot of boxes all over the place but manily confined to the spare room and study. Now all we need is a master plan of what to put where and to get some furniture (a sofa in particular would be nice).
Despite the house being very close to the train line most of the time we do not notice the trains going past and even when we do it is only a low rumble, so no worries there. Also sleeping very well so that is great too.
Transport to work is not bad and I have worked out a route on the bike that avoids all the major roads. Must get a bit fitter first though.
I will get Alice to write something about it a bit later
