Just to let you all know we are both fine, Dan works very close to the centre of the incidents, but he had just got to work when it all began. Obviously he is stuck there right now, but I am at home. The emergency services seem to have dealt extremely well with the events, arriving very quickly and covering all the sites. There seems to have been little panic, with some witnesses saying that people just seemed to be annoyed that their journey to work was interrupted!
I must say that it does seem to have been evidently a controlled terrorist attack, but not one aimed at large numbers of casualties or fatalities (although they are clearly numerous). It could have been much worse.
Not yet clear if the buses were hit at the same time as the tube, some reports say it was at the same time, some say there was an hour delay on the bus hit.
Obviously there is talk of Al Qaeda, but that is not surprising, just like everything used to get blamed on the IRA. We shall see. The BBC reckon that Al Qaeda have claimed responsibility, but they would, wouldn't they...?
